May 10, 1931 ~ April 15, 2024

Minori Cecelia Theresa Naraki Bouley, “Terry,” passed away peacefully in her sleep at Creekside Senior Living in Bountiful, Utah, on April 15, 2024. She was born on May 10, 1931, in Fukuoka, Japan, to Yohachi and Asako (Abe) Naraki, the eldest of four.

Terry was a dedicated wife and mother, traveling with her husband Wilfrid “Willie” Bouley, whom she married in 1954, and family throughout the world as an Air Force wife. She met Willie while working as a secretary at the Itazuke Air Base in Fukuoka, Japan, during the Korean War. She was so proud when she became a Catholic and even more proud to become an American citizen.

She enjoyed cheering on her children and grandchildren in whatever sport in which they chose to participate. She loved sports, especially golf, football and baseball. She spent most of her life as a volunteer for her church, for the Non-Commissioned Officers Wives Club and at civic events before embarking on a 20-year career as a store clerk in the Army and Air Force Exchange Service. She was a great friend to many and always loved to greet and chat with new people. She was a faith-filled Catholic, very devout in her beliefs, and enjoyed going to Mass every week.

Preceded in death by her husband, CMSgt. Wilfrid Bouley, USAF; son Lt. Col. Thomas Bouley, USAF; grandson Eliot Bouley; and her parents. She is survived by children Joe (Sara) of North Salt Lake, Jeanne (Larry) Phenow of Maple Grove, Minnesota; Ed (Lisa) Bouley of Granbury, Texas; Charlie (Denise) Bouley of Parker, Colorado; Barb (Jeff) Nichols of Portland, Oregon; and Toni (Thomas) Bouley of San Antonio, Texas; 21 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters Noriko Endo, Hiroko Takeuchi and brother Iwao Naraki, all of Fukuoka, Japan.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Creekside Senior Living, both assisted living and memory care, and also Ovation Hospice, for their friendship and tender care of Terry. She loved everyone she met and worked with.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Bountiful. A celebration of life memorial service and burial with Willie in Las Vegas, Nevada, will follow, date TBD.
