SALT LAKE CITY —En un día de celebración que comenzó con una solemne Misa y terminó con bailes, la Diócesis Católica de Salt Lake City honró a 85 hombres y mujeres quienes pasaron los últimos cuatro años estudiando para convertirse en líderes eclesiales laicos.
“No se cómo comenzar a expresar lo agradecido que estoy con todos ustedes por haber respondido a este llamado de Cristo Jesús para ser líderes en nuestra comunidad”, dijo el Reverendísimo John C. Wester, obispo de Salt Lake City, a aquellos quienes el 9 de agosto se reunieron en una Misa en la Catedral de la Magdalena en la cual los nuevos Ministros Eclesiales fueron comisionados.

Recently, I completed a 30-day Ignatian retreat in Los Angeles (I hope you are all impressed!). The central feature of St. Ignatius’ Spiritual Exercises is intensive reading, several times a day, of key Scripture passages on Jesus’ life. I must say that I often found the exercise hard going for the reason that I already knew the Scripture passages almost by heart and could not find much new material for reflection. >>>
