Students raise funds for deceased police officer

BOUNTIFUL — The students at Saint Olaf Catholic School donated $394 to the family of deceased North Salt Lake Police Officer Charles Skinner, who was tragically killed on Nov. 8, 2008 while on duty. Several students joined together to deposit the donation after school on Nov. 24, at Zion’s Bank North Salt Lake Branch in a fund for Officer Skinner’s family.

SALT LAKE CITY — Father Louis Fischer, 83, a native of St. Louis, Mo., died at Nazareth House in San Diego Feb. 6, 2009. He retired from the Diocese of Salt Lake City in 1987 and provided weekend ministry in San Diego until his health deteriorated over the last few years.
