December 19, 1931 ~ February 14, 2018

Our cherished, beloved mother, grandma, Nona, sister, aunt and friend passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was reunited with her sweetheart Farrell on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2018.

Mom was born on December 19, 1931 to John and Aurelia Pilatti Leoncini. Mom grew up on the family farm in Murray, Utah. There she learned the value of hard work and family unity. Mom worked as a server for many years at the Cottonwood Country Club. She worked for Murray School District for 23 years as a bus driver and aide for special-needs children.

In 1949 she met the love of her life, Charles Farrell Potter at a dance in Salt Lake City. They were married on January 20, 1950. Together they raised four sons in Murray and lost their only sweet daughter, Charlotte.

Mom was a devoted caregiver. She was there to provide care for her father and mother as well as her in-laws at the time of their passing. Mom always put her family and friends first. Those who knew her know how selfless she was. Mom loved to have fun, a good joke and loved to laugh. The Potter motto is to have a little fun every day. So many wonderful memories of trips to Fish Lake, where she was seldom out-fished. Dinner club, card club with her friends made for so many beautiful memories and lifelong friendships. Mom’s homemade raviolis, chicken cacciatore, roasted potatoes and beaudine were the highlight of many family gatherings.

Mom is survived by her sons Ronald (Carol), Randy (Joanne), Kevin (Susan), and Lynn (Marilyn) Potter; grandchildren Jason (Holly), Sarah (Allen), Daniel (Denica), Rebecca, Dustin (Joie), Carly (Curtis), Jacob (Christiana), Michael (Karen), Abbey (Chris), and Ryan (Kristina); she was blessed with 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; sister-in-law Judy Leoncini; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Farrell Potter; daughter Charlotte; parents John and Aurelia Leoncini; brothers Gene (Marilyn) Leon, Johnny and Ernesto Leoncini and sister Lillian (Joseph) Serre.

Special thanks to Quality Hospice Care – McKenzie, Charlotte, Dr. Nibley, Dr. Griffin, Dr. McPherson, Tricia, and Ruth. Our sincere thanks for the exceptional care provided by Talita and Maria.

Thank you Father Dave, Charlie and Steve for sharing God’s spiritual gifts.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on February 23, 2018 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Mom leaves behind a legacy of love, joy and the importance of family.
