Meatless Mexican Dinner — Friday, March 6, 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Parish Center, 9757 South 1700 East, Sandy. Hosted by Corpus Christi Council 6966. Cost: $8/adult, $5/child, families (4+) receive $1 off per person; children under 5 are free. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. All profits support the Youth Group’s trip to National Catholic Youth Conference.

St. Patrick’s Day Mass and Dinner — Sunday, March 15, sponsored by the Hibernian Society. A Mass in honor of St. Patrick will be held at 5 p.m.; from 4-8 p.m. the annual corned beef and cabbage dinner will be served at Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 7405 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan. Cost is $12 for adults and $8 for children.

‘Dead Man Walking’ talk — Tuesday, March 24, 7 p.m. at the Behnken House Westminster College, 1840 South 1300 East, SLC. Sister Helen Prejean will give a lecture on her book Dead Man Walking: an Eyewitness Account of the Death Penalty in the United States. Free and open to the public. 

Prayer for vocations — Saint Patrick Parish will have the devotion March 1-4 in the Bishop Glass Chapel, 1064 West 400 South, SLC. On Sunday, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be from noon to 8 p.m. On Monday and Tuesday, it will be from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Wednesday, it will be from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
