Deacon Ordination — Bishop Oscar A. Solis will ordain five men as permanent deacons for the Diocese of Salt Lake City on Friday, Jan. 31, 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple. All are invited.

Respect for the Dignity of Life Day — Saturday, Feb. 1, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 7405 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan. Jean Hill, director of the diocesan Office of Justice and Peace, will teach advocacy skills to enable participants to advocate for pro-life legislation from a Catholic perspective. $20. Msgr. Benvegnu Lecture — Monday, Feb. 3, 7 p.m. “The Healing Ministry in the Church: A Lay Approach” at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, SLC. Rosemary Baron, a chaplain at Intermountain Medical Center, will present an integrated look at healing. Free and open to the public.
