Life is Worth Living Seminar — Monday, June 24, 7-9 p.m. at St. Marguerite Parish’s social hall, 15 S. 7th St., Tooele. All are invited to join the Knights of Columbus Council #6739 to learn what you, your family, and friends can do to help support the Church’s mission to protect and support life, and prevent suicide through education and early intervention.  

Parish Games Night — Friday, June 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Scanlan Hall in the basement of the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 331 E. South Temple, SLC. Sponsored by Knights of Columbus Council 602. 

Father Richtsteig’s 25th Ordination Anniversary Celebration — Saturday, June 29 after the 5 p.m. Mass at St. James the Just Parish, 495 N. Harrison Blvd., Ogden. Catered by Maddox. Cost: $5/pp or $20/family.  Reservations must be made by June 15. Call the parish office for tickets, 801-782-5393.  

Bilingual Rosary for Life Walk — Saturday, June 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 506 24th St., Ogden. Join the St. Joseph Respect for Life committee in front of the church after the 5:30 p.m. Mass (approximately 6:30 p.m.). Bring your family and friends to pray for the dignity of life: end to abortion, capital punishment, physician-assisted suicide, and a greater reverence for the Gospel of Life. Be sure to bring your rosary.

Summer Outdoor Boutique — Saturday, June 29, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the St. Patrick Catholic Church parking lot, 1058 West 400 South, SLC. Hosted by the parish youth. Booth rentals to sell your own items are $25 each. No food cooking or preparation is allowed on the premises. Contact Anthony Martinez at 801-949-6013 for more information.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan Speech — Sunday, June 30, 7 p.m. Cardinal Dolan will be the keynote speaker at America’s Freedom Festival at Provo Patriotic Service, Utah Valley University UCCU Center, 800 W. University Pkwy., Orem. Free and open to the public.

Barbecue and Bake Sale — Sunday, June 30, 12:30 p.m. at St. Olaf Parish’s McNamara Center, 1800 S. Orchard Dr., Bountiful. $7 per person; $20 per family. Sponsored by the Ladies of Charity. Proceeds benefit the Center of Hope in North Salt Lake – serving those in need. 

Fourth of July — The Diocese of Salt Lake City Pastoral Center will be closed Thursday, July 4, for Independence Day. It will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, July 5.

First Saturday Bilingual Mass — Saturday, July 6, 8 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven. It will be preceded by the recitation of the rosary at 7:30 a.m. All are welcome.

Pro-life Silver Rose — Tuesday, July 9 and Wednesday, July 10, 331 E. South Temple, SLC; hosted by Knights of Columbus Council 602. The Silver Rose will be exposed during all Masses and the whole evening on July 10, concluding with Christ in the City: Adoration to the Blessed Sacrament. This is one of several Silver Roses traveling across the U.S. on its way to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico.

St. Patrick Parish Anniversary — Saturday, July 13. 11 a.m. at the church, 1040 West 400 South, SLC. Mass presided over by Bishop Oscar A. Solis; outdoor luncheon to follow.

Diocesan Patron Saint Celebration — Sunday, July 21, 6 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple. A bilingual Mass will be celebrated in honor of Mary Magdalene, patron saint of the Diocese of Salt Lake City. A party in the plaza will follow.

Rosary and Holy Hour — Sunday, July 21, 3 p.m. at the Carmelite monastery, 5714 Holladay Blvd., SLC. All are invited to join the Knights of Columbus Council #5214 and the Carmelite nuns to praise God, honor His Mother and pray for our Holy Catholic Church.

Catholic Lagoon Day — Sunday, July 21 sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Council 602 at Lagoon’s Canyon Terrace. Mass at noon, followed by family fun games. Discount single day passports will be available for $50.24 ($46.95 plus tax). Ask for the Catholic Lagoon Day Discount at any ticket window.

Lay Ecclesial Ministry Program Accepting Applications — The diocesan Office of Faith Formation is accepting applications for the Lay Ecclesial Ministry Program (LEM). This four-year leadership development program includes online studies through the McGrath Institute for Church Life at Notre Dame and monthly  class meetings, retreats, spiritual direction and guest presenters.
