DCCW Convention – Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 11-12. at the Sheraton Salt Lake City Hotel. At the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women’s annual state convention, keynote speaker Maria Morera Johnson will speak on “Living in the Light of Eternity.” Convention participants will attend Mass Saturday at the Cathedral of the Madeleine. There will also be the Woman of the Year banquet, awards, drawings, raffles and a silent auction. Cost: $125. Contact your parish women’s council or visit www.dccwutah.org for information.

Eccles Organ Festival Recital – Sunday, Sept. 12, 8 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E.  South Temple, SLC. With Joseph Peeples, organist at the Salt Lake Tabernacle. Live in-person audience (until cathedral capacity is reached) and also livestreamed on the festival’s YouTube channel.

National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children – Around the Diocese 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 275 U St., SLC. The National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children is a day to honor the memory of the many lives that were ended by abortion.

Volunteers Needed — The St. Vincent Homeless Center in Salt Lake City is in need of volunteers for multiple shifts. All safety protocols have been put into place.
