Autumn Harvest Benefit — for Holy Cross Ministries. Saturday, Sept. 21, 6-9 p.m. at the High West Distillery, 27649 Old Lincoln Hwy., Wanship. Tickets: $100. Rosary and Holy Hour — Sunday, Sept. 22, 3 p.m. at the Carmelite monastery, 5714 Holladay Blvd., Holladay. All are invited to join the Knights of Columbus Council #5214 and the Carmelite nuns to praise God, honor His Mother and pray for our Holy Catholic Church.

RCIA at Saint Ambrose Parish — program resumes Tuesday, Sept. 24, 7 p.m. at the Vaughan Center, 1975 South 2300 East, SLC. The program uses the Symbolon series from Formed.org, which can be accessed online. Anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic faith is welcome to attend.  

Fundraising Dinner —  Saturday, Sept. 28 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 4914 South 2200 West, Taylorsville. Social 6 p.m.; dinner 7 p.m. Adults $12; kids 12 & under $6; under 5 free. 87th Annual Spaghetti Dinner — Sunday, Sept. 29, 1-7 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 2864 South 9000 West, Magna. Take outs begin at 11 a.m. Outdoor beverage garden (ID required), Italian cookies and raffle baskets. Adult dine in $15/take out $13; seniors citizens $12; kids 12 and under $8.

San Lorenzo Ruiz and San Pedro Calungsod Celebration — Sunday, Sept. 29 at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. Procession begins at 5 p.m., Mass at 6 p.m., followed by a reception in the lower level of the cathedral.

Book Discussion — “Contemplative Hunger” by Father Donald Haggerty. Saturday, Oct. 5 at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 9800 South 1700 East, Sandy. Sponsored by the Secular Carmelite Community. Lauds at 8:35 a.m., Mass at 9 a.m. followed by quiet mental prayer; continental breakfast at 10 a.m., book discussion at 10:15 a.m., dismiss before noon.  Life Chain — Sunday, Oct. 6, 1 p.m. at the intersection of 10600 South and State Street, Sandy. This annual Knights of Columbus event asks volunteers to stand on the sidewalk near the intersection for one hour of silent prayer. The Knights will provide signs, but everyone is welcome to bring their own.  The event is family-oriented, peaceful, and respectful. For information, contact Tina Pisenti, auntieteen@hotmail.com.

Hesburgh Lecture — Monday, Oct. 7, 7 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Parish’s Benvegnu Center, 1385 E. Spring Lane, Holladay. Fr. Oliver Williams, C.S.C., director of Notre Dame’s Center for Ethics and Religious Values, will speak on “Catholic Social Thought: A Spirituality for Business Life.” Sponsored by Notre Dame Club of Utah and St. Vincent de Paul Parish.

Icon Workshop — Oct 7-11, in Boise, Idaho with Fr. Matthew Garrett. Participants will paint the Kazan Mother of God icon during the class. Instruction in acrylic gouache using 23K gold leaf. CWL Annual Fall Luncheon and Fashion Show — Saturday, Oct. 12 at Little America Hotel, 500 S. Catholics Can Mass — Sunday, Oct. 20, 11:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, Salt Lake City, celebrated by Bishop Oscar A. Solis. This annual Mass celebrates the many gifts and contributions made by people with disabilities in the diocese. Sponsored by the diocesan Commission for People with Disabilities. Parish Games Night — every Saturday, 5-9:30 p.m. at St. Lawrence Mission, 5 South 100 West, Heber. The price for games and food is $15. All profits go to support the building fund for the new church.

Scout Religious Emblems — Now is the time to begin working on your Girl Scout, Cub Scout and Scouts BSA religious emblems. The Diocese of Salt Lake City hosts an awards ceremony each year in January or February at the Cathedral of the Madeleine with Bishop Oscar Solis.
