Rosary and Holy Hour — Sunday, Nov. 17, 3 p.m. at the Carmelite monastery, 5714 Holladay Blvd., SLC. All are invited to join the Knights of Columbus Council 5214 and the Carmelite nuns to praise God, honor his Mother and pray for our Holy Catholic Church.

St. Cecilia’s Day Concert — Sunday, Nov. 17, 8 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC; presented by the Choir of the Cathedral of the Madeleine featuring the Choristers of the Madeleine Choir School. Free and open to the public, but passes are required. STEM Night — for children grades K-8; hosted by Judge Memorial CHS’ Judgement Call Robotics. Friday, Nov. 22, 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the school, 650 South 1100 East, SLC. Pastoral Center Closed — The Diocese of Salt Lake City Pastoral Center will close at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday. It will reopen Monday, Dec. 2, at 8:30 a.m.

Mass at Our Lady of the Snows — The celebration of the Eucharist on Sundays will resume at Our Lady of the Snows Chapel in Alta on Sunday, Dec. 1 and will continue through the end of April.  Mass is at 5 p.m. The chapel is located directly across from the Alta Lodge.  Mass on Christmas and Easter will be at 10 a.m.

Msgr. Benvegnu Lecture — Monday, Dec. 2, 7 p.m. “Saints Were People Too” at St. Vincent Parish Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, SLC. Fr. John Norman, pastor, will examine the lives of a number of saints to gain insight into each of their faith responses regarding vocation and discernment. Free and open to the public.

 First Friday Mass and Rosary — Hosted by the Catholic Woman’s League. Friday, Dec. 6, 9 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 1375 E. Spring Lane, SLC. The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary — this year is transferred to Monday, Dec. 9 because Dec. 8 is the Second Sunday of Advent. The obligation to attend Mass, however, does not transfer. The optional memorial of St. Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin, Dec. 9, is omitted this year.

St. Ann Parish Bell Choir Concert — Friday, Dec. 13, 6:30 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 500 East 2100 South, SLC. Free; everyone welcome.

Brass and Organ Christmas Concert — Sunday Dec. 15, 8 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple. Featuring the brass section of the Utah Symphony Orchestra and cathedral organist Gabriele Terrone. Free and open to the public.

Pastoral Center Closed — The Diocese of Salt Lake City Pastoral Center will be closed Tuesday-Thursday, Dec. 24-26, for the Christmas holiday. It will reopen Friday, Dec. 27, at 8:30 a.m.

Adoration — every Wednesday, 7-8 p.m. in Our Lady’s Chapel at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 7405 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan. Participants will pray the Rosary of the Unborn, Chaplet of the Unborn and the Divine Mercy Chaplet.  

Parish Games Night — every Saturday, 5-9:30 p.m. at St. Lawrence Mission, 5 South 100 West, Heber. The price for games and food is $15. All profits go to support the building fund for the new church

Volunteers Needed — Catholic Community Services of Utah (CCS) is in need of volunteers at St. Vincent de Paul Dining Hall. Each day, 80 volunteers are needed to serve 1,200 warm meals. Contact Monica Rich at mrich@ccsutah.org or 801-428-1366.

Assistive Listening Devices — Up to 20 percent of all people have some degree of hearing loss. The Diocese of SLC Commission for People with Disabilities assists parishes with the purchase of assistive listening devices so that everyone can hear and understand what is spoken at Mass.
