Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebration — The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of the Americas and Secondary Patroness of the Diocese of Salt Lake City, is Saturday, Dec. 12. The Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC, will begin celebrations in Spanish on Friday, Dec. 11 at 8:30 p.m. with mariachi. The rosary will be at 9:30 p.m. Mass with Bishop Oscar A. Solis will be at 10 p.m. Because of restrictions in place due to the pandemic, the traditional procession and reception have been canceled.

Eccles Organ Festival — Sunday, Dec. 13, 8 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. The Brass Quintet of the Utah Symphony will join cathedral organist Gabriele Terrone for a program that will feature music by Praetorius, Bach, Gigout and others, and will conclude with the singing of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel." Limited seating available on a first-come first-served basis starting at 7:15 p.m. The concert will be livestreamed on the Eccles Festival’s YouTube channel.
