Scott Joplin Commemoration — Saturday, June 17, 7 p.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1385 E. Spring Lane, Holladay. In honor of the 100th anniversary of Scott Joplin’s death, Scott Larrabee will perform songs by the American composer. Admission is free, but a freewill offering will be taken up to benefit Sr. Angela’s assistance program for the poor.

Annual Men’s Retreat — Aug. 11-13 in Bloowmington, Idaho. This retreat, which will be bilingual English/Spanish, is open to all men in the Diocese of Salt Lake City. Car Show Fundraiser and Art Auction — Saturday, Aug. 26 starting 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Kearns-Saint Ann Catholic School, 430 East 2100 South, SLC. $10 for early registration for cars and bikes; $25 for admission on the day of the event; $5 for veterans. Bell Choir — The bell choir of the Saint Ann Catholic Church, 450 East 2100 South, SLC, is looking for new members.  No previous experience is necessary, although the ability to read music is helpful.
