Lighting of the Nativity Display — Give Me A Chance, 2913 Grant Ave, Ogden. Thursday, Dec. 2, 5 p.m. Join in singing Christmas carols; followed by hot chocolate and cookies.

Parish Dinner and Games — Friday, Dec. 3 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., dinner at 5:30 p.m. Games start at 6:30. $20 for dinner and 18 games.

Diocesan Advent Retreat — Saturday, Dec. 4, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. This year the retreat will be held both in-person and livestreamed. English session with Fr. Stephen Tilley, 9 – 11 a.m.; Spanish session with Fr. The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe — this year falls Dec. 12, on the Third Sunday of Advent. Our Lady of Guadalupe may be appropriately honored during the homily, universal prayer and hymns during the Sunday liturgy.

Brass and Organ Christmas Concert — Sunday, Dec. 12, 8 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC.  Featuring the brass section of the Utah Symphony. Live in-person audience (until cathedral capacity is reached) and livestreamed on the Eccles Organ Festival’s YouTube channel.

Pastoral Center Closed — The Diocese of Salt Lake City Pastoral Center will be closed Thursday through Monday, Dec. 23-27, for the Christmas holiday. It will reopen on Tuesday, Dec.  28, at 8:30 a.m.

Pastoral Center Closed — The Diocese of Salt Lake City Pastoral Center will be closed Thursday through Monday, Dec. 30 – Jan. 3 for the New Year’s holiday. It will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 4, at 8:30 a.m.
