DCCW Convention — Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 11-12 at the Sheraton Salt Lake City Hotel. The keynote speaker for this year’s Diocesan Council of Catholic Women state convention is Maria Morera Johnson, who will speak on “Living in the Light of Eternity.” There will also be the Woman of the Year banquet. Middle School Academy Dedication – Bishop Oscar A. Solis will dedicate the Our Lady of Lourdes Middle School Academy at Judge Memorial CHS on Monday, Sept. 13 at 5:30 p.m. Guests may tour the middle school campus after the ceremony. Forty Days for Life — Wednesday, Sept. 22 is the start of the 40-day campaign of prayer, fasting and peaceful activism with the purpose of repentance, to seek God’s favor to turn hearts and minds from a culture of death to a culture of life, thus bringing an end to abortion. Ignatian Retreat — 30-week Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius presented by Catherine Morgan Ph.D. will begin Thursday, Sept. 23. Volunteers Needed — The St. Vincent Homeless Center in Salt Lake City is in need of volunteers for multiple shifts. All safety protocols have been put into place.
