Benjamin (Benny) H. Gallegos

July 17, 1933 ~ July 13, 2020.
Our beloved Benny returned to our Heavenly Father on July 13, 2020 in Salt Lake City, due to health complications. He was surrounded by his family when his journey on this earth came to an end. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Mary (Angie) Gallegos; and two daughters Cindy Martinez (Dennis) and Debra Candelaria.
He had six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren (with one on the way), and three great-great-grandchildren. He had an especially strong and unbreakable bond with his grandson John and granddaughter Nikki, whom he adored.
Benny was born in Delta, Colorado to Anita Vigil and Max Gallegos on July 17, 1933. He had 10 siblings, with two surviving – Vera Aguliar and Rocky Gallegos – and many nieces and nephews.
Benny proudly served overseas in the United States military from 1950 to 1953. He enjoyed gardening, working on cars and cooking. He also enjoyed going to Wendover with Chantell, John, Little Jose, Josh, Joseph and Daniel and spending time with his wife and grandchildren.
Graveside services were held July 21 at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park in Bluffdale.
