At the Mass that closed the Diocesan Eucharistic Rally on July 9, Bishop Oscar A. Solis offered thanks to all those who contributed to the event.
“Today’s celebration would not have been possible without the help of a committed team who has been working tirelessly for months,” he said.
He particularly thanked the Very Rev. Christopher Gray, who served as the Diocesan Eucharistic Revival point person; Ruth Dillon, director of the diocesan Office of Worship; Kim Tosti and Matt Pauly, committee chairpersons; and the committee members: Christopher Huntzinger (music), Maria Devereux (volunteers), Juliana Boerio-Goates (morning program), Justin Barker, Anthony Jewett, Rachel Le Melle, Deacon Tom Tosti, Carol Ruddell, Candice Greenwald, and all the volunteers on their teams.
The bishop also thanked the diocesan offices of finance, worship, Hispanic ministry, Safe Environment, Stewardship and Development, the Catholic Foundation of Utah, archives, and the Intermountain Catholic newspaper.
“And in a special way, we thank our lead sponsor, Centura Holy Cross Hospitals, as well as the many generous businesses and families who donated to provide for our celebration today,” the bishop said.
“I especially want to thank all my fellow priests, the deacons, lay leaders, and the whole Catholic Church in Utah: Thank you for being here today for this celebration and for sharing the good news of the revival,” he concluded.
