Bishops address weighty issues at spring assembly

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is addressing numerous matters at their Spring General Assembly, which started yesterday and runs through tomorrow in Atlanta, Ga. Among the issues the bishops are discussing are domestic and international religious freedom, the upcoming Year of Faith and the Task Force for Communications, of which the Most Rev. John C. Wester, Bishop of Salt Lake City, is chairman. Coverage of the assembly will appear in the June 22 Intermountain Catholic.
