SANDY — Blessed Sacrament School celebrated a Vocation Day February 7 as part of their Catholic Schools’ Week Celebration. Sisters of the Holy Cross Sister Catherine Kamphaus and Sister Genevra Rolf, as well as Msgr. Robert Servatius, Pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish, were kind enough to visit the classrooms and speak with the children about their vocations. The students enjoyed the one-on-one time and asked many questions.

Matthew DeVoll, advisor of the Horizon Program, and students in the Horizon Program presented each of their guests with a stained glass cross the students had constructed. The students then spoke about what they had learned during the process of making the crosses, showing tools they used and explaining how math and science were involved.

The Horizon Program is the accelerated learner program administered through Blessed Sacrament School’s Learning Resource Center.
