Candido Herrera passed away in the early morning of November 28, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Candido was born on October 12, 1937 in Elrito, New Mexico to Candido Herrera and Rebecca Martinez Herrera. He married Jennie Giron Herrera; later divorced but remained the best of friends.

He is survived by his children Leroy and Liz, Lorraine, Eli, Connie and Lourdes. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter (Angela), grandson (Caleb) and also three brothers and one sister. Candido has many family and good friends who will miss him dearly.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church on December 5, 2018. Candido was laid to rest at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

The Herrera family wishes to thank all who attended the Mass, brought flowers and food. Special thanks to the Escalante staff and management for the care given to Candido in his time of need.
