On Friday morning of last week I joined hundreds of our Catholic school employees for a beautiful Mass at Judge Memorial Catholic High School. This Mass began a day of workshops for our Catholic school educators. During the Eucharist, we honored Monsignor Terry Moore with the "Christ the Teacher" Award. Msgr. Moore is certainly deserving of this prestigious award in that he has truly "taught as Jesus did." Throughout his priestly life, whether in the parish, Catholic Community Services, the classroom or the Pastoral Center, Msgr. Moore has been an inspirational teacher to us all. Congratulations to Monsignor and many thanks to all of our Catholic school educators who do so much for our youth. In a special way, I would like to thank Sister Catherine Kamphaus, superintendent of Catholic Schools, and Sister Genevra Rolf, assistant superintendent, for their leadership and service to all of our schools.
