October 1983 ~ Sept. 1, 2017

Christina Marie Gonzalez Benevento, 33, of Ogden went with Our Lord on Sept. 1, 2017. Christina’s story was one from a Disney movie. She was born in Mission Viejo, Calif. in October of 1983. Growing up near Disneyland, Rosa always took her girls to the happiest place on earth, bringing forth fun, imaginative, big-hearted princesses.

The Gonzalezes left their family and friends of San Juan Capistrano for a new kingdom called Pleasant View, Utah. Although they missed their family, they found joy below the beautiful mountains of Ben Lomond. In 2002 Christina graduated from Weber High School.

With her love of dressing up and all things girly, Christina was a makeup and hair extraordinaire and loved sharing her creative skills.

In September of 2012 she married her Prince Charming, Dustin Benevento, and later had their two beautiful prince and princess, Christian and Aubrey. Sadly, Christina’s kingdom crumbled in 2015, with the passing of her prince. Beginning a new life, Christina became a machinist at Parker Hannifin in the Slide and Sleeve Department in 2016.

Loneliness, however, was not to be had, for Christina and her little ones as she treasured the companionship and love of Joshua Olsen, rebuilding once again her happily ever after...

Christina is survived by her children, Christian Anthony and Aubrey Ann Benevento; her parents, Alfredo and Rosa Gonzalez; and her sister Catherine and brother-in-law Landon Dorius.

Christina was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Paz Mendoza and Carmen Villanueva; and her husband, Dustin Benevento.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. James the Just Catholic Church on Sept. 9. The family requests donations be made to the Christian and Aubrey Memorial Fund, held by America First Credit Union.

Arrangements entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.
