Coats for Kids

As part of the Utah Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids annual campaign, 230 children in the Ogden area received new coats on Nov. 3. They also received gloves, scarves, knitted hats, books and hygiene items. For the coat drive, St. Rose of Lima Council 6010, Ogden Council 777, St. James Council 9849 and Bishop Joseph Lennox Federal Council 14399 Knights purchased 520 new coats with donations from council funds and St. Rose of Lima, St. Joseph, St. James and Holy Family parishes. They also collected more than 100 slightly used and new coats. The Sewing Angels from St. Rose of Lima Parish donated 125 knitted hats.  The coats that were not given away on Nov. 3 will be distributed to children in need in northern Utah.
