Diocesan day of prayer

The Most Rev. Oscar A. Solis, Bishop of the Diocese of Salt Lake City, is asking all pastors and Catholic school principals in the diocese to set aside time on Sept. 7 for prayer for the intention of remembering the victims of sexual abuse by clergy. (See the bishop's statement.)

In response, on Sept. 7 the Cathedral of the Madeleine will have two sessions of Eucharistic Adoration. The first will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., directly following the daily morning Mass. The second will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m., just before the daily afternoon Mass. All are welcome. The cathedral is at 309 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City.
