Catholic Community Services of Utah’s Future Leaders and Clay Arts, Utah recently hosted Empty Bowls, an annual event to combat hunger in the local community. At the June 7 event, which included live music and free food, guests purchased bowls produced by local artisans. Each $20 bowl will help 22 homeless individuals receive a warm meal at CCS’ St. Vincent de Paul Dining Hall, which serves approximately 1,000 meals each day to those in need. Empty Bowls is the only fundraiser whose proceeds are dedicated solely to the dining hall.
