Parishioners of St. Jude Maronite Catholic Church celebrated their new building with a Mass on Sunday, Feb. 23, the Entrance into Great Lent for Catholics of the Maronite Rite.

Parishioners of St. Jude Maronite Catholic Church celebrated their new building with a Mass on Sunday, Feb. 23, the Entrance into Great Lent for Catholics of the Maronite Rite. The church, formerly located in Murray, is now at 5445 South 2700 West, Taylorsville. Pastor is Msgr. Joubran BouMerhi. Weekend Masses will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sundays. The Maronite Church, one of the Eastern rite churches, is in full communion with Rome. Mass is celebrated primarily in English, although Syric and Aramaic are used in some parts of the Mass. Holy Communion is distributed by intinction.
