SALT LAKE CITY — George L. Archueta, 59, died Sept. 26, after a courageous battle with cancer. Archuleta was born Dec. 11, 1946, in Monte Vista, Colo., to Leo and Ruth B. Mansandrez Archuleta. He was an easy-going man who lived life with humor and a giving and thoughtful nature. He served as a sharpshooter and skilled mechanic in the U. S. Army. Archuleta was employed at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. He is survived by his brother, Gilbert (Mary) Archuleta; son, George L. Archuleta, Jr.; four nieces and one nephew; and many great nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Committal was in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
