SALT LAKE CITY — George M. "Mike" Johnson, 82, died July 18. Johnson was born May 30, 1924. He married Mary Helen in July 1950, and they were married for 56 years. He was a World War II veteran who served on the USS Kane. He retired as a master electrician from Hill Air Force Base. He is survived by his wife; children, Russ (Evelyn) Darby, and Georgann (Kelly); sister Reola; grandchildren, Mariam, Marc Jr., and Chelsea; great-grandson, Corbin; and many extended relatives. A graveside service was held at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
