Catholic Community Services of Utah hosted a ground-breaking ceremony April 9 for its Homeless Kitchen Training program, which will teach culinary skills to those experiencing homelessness. At the ceremony, Bishop Oscar A. Solis gave a blessing and thanked all the benefactors. Among those present at the ground-breaking ceremony were Bishop Solis, Msgr. Colin F. Bircumshaw, vicar general; Msgr. J. Terrence Fitzgerald, Vicar General emeritus; businesswoman Gail Miller; homeless advocate Pamela Atkinson; and Bradford R. Drake, CCS executive director. The construction is estimated to be completed late this fall.
