TOOELE — Guadalupe "Lupe" Garcia, 87, died Sept. 28. She was a member of Saint Marguerite Parish. Garcia was born March 25, 1921, to Thomas and Rebecca Lobato Martinez in Park View, N.M. She married Philemon Garcia Nov. 21, 1938, in New Mexico. They were married 66 years. She was a devout Catholic, and a leader in her parish . She was a faithful daughter of the Virgin Mary and prayed the rosary all her life. She helped the Cursillo and Cursillistas on their three-day renewal of faith. Her family was most important to her and her children are close. She is survived by her 10 children, Eliza (Ed) Martinez, Arthur (Josie), Joe, Gilbert (Utenda), Phil (Angie), Rebecca, Kathy, Thomas, Tony, and Barb. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Marguerite Catholic Church.
