Intermountain Catholic Wins Awards

At the May 13 Utah Press Association 2022 Better Newspaper Contest awards dinner, the Intermountain Catholic took home two awards in the Group II circulation category: first place in Best Editorial and second place in Best Feature Photo. At the May 13 Utah Press Association 2022 Better Newspaper Contest awards dinner, the Intermountain Catholic took home two awards in the Group II circulation category: first place in Best Editorial and second place in Best Feature Photo. The editorial, “Care is Needed When Religion Influences Politics,” was written by Jean Hill, then the director of the diocesan Office of Life, Justice and Peace.” The photograph, of the Cathedral of the Madeleine’s Men’s Choir singing the Exultet at the Easter vigil, was taken by Marie Mischel, editor. Shown with the awards are Mischel and Bishop Oscar A. Solis, publisher of the Intermountain Catholic.
