SALT LAKE CITY — Lance Lancer is a well-traveled dog! He is the kindergarten mascot at Our Lady of Lourdes School and travels to each kindergartner’s home for a weekend visit once during the school year. During the Christmas holiday, Lance had the opportunity to travel to London with Alessandra Sherman and her family. Because of a snowstorm over London, their plane was diverted to Paris, France, where Lance spent three days enjoying crepes and seeing the sights of Paris. After taking the ferry from Callais to London, Lance spent Christmas in London and even had the chance to meet Paddington Bear! Lance had his passport stamped in Paris, Callais and London! Just a few weeks after returning from London, Lance boarded another plane and headed to Puerta Vallarta, Mexico with Owen Williamson and his family. It was just what Lance needed after a long cold winter. He spent eight days relaxing on the beach and swimming in the ocean. Customs agents checked his passport again and admitted him back into the United States after a well-deserved break. Actually, this was the second time Lance had spent time with the Williamson family. Owen’s sister Clara (now in 4th grade), was the very first person to ever take Lance home, back when she was in kindergarten. Over the years, Lance has traveled to Hawaii, Indiana, Ohio and all kinds of places in Utah. He’s been to a Notre Dame football game and to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but this was the first time Lance had the chance to travel out of the country. He is certainly looking forward to his next vacation!
