The women of the Italian American Civic League found themselves tumbling down Alice’s rabbit hole when their annual Mother’s Day tea took the theme "The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party." The May 6 tea was held indoors on a windy day and featured all manner of hats and honors for new life-time members. The Italian American Civic League is a social and civic organization that accomplishes good works, sponsors scholarships, and is active in civic affairs. To be a life-time member, one must be at least 70 years old and a member for 10 years. The annual tea is partially funded by the men of the Italian American Civic League. IC photos by Barbara S. Lee
