NORTH OGDEN — Janet Evelyn Stephenson Destito, 67, died March 6, at her home of cancer.

Destito was born Jan. 11, 1940, in Moscow, Idaho, to Alvira and Eugene Stephenson. She was raised in Bovill, Idaho, and graduated from Moscow High School in 1958. She worked as a district clerk for the Avery Ranger Station of the St. Joe National Forest, Idaho, prior to marrying John Destito Sept. 30, 1961. When her children were raised, she served more than 1,000 hours as a volunteer at St. Benedict’s Hospital in the Alcohol and Chemical Treatment (ACT) unit, and then became an employee.

She is survived by her husband, John; children, Theresa (Perry) Todd, and Dina (Greg) Bryner, of Fort Collins, Colo., Rick Destito, Salt Lake City, Michele (Dustin) Rackham, Camas, Wash., and Darcie (Erik Johnson) Destito, Newberg, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Catholic Church. Interment was in Ben Lomond Cemetery.
