OGDEN — Joseph William Zampedri, 85, died Dec. 29, at Ogden Regional Medical Center. He was a member of St. James Parish. Zampedri was born Nov. 13, 1921, in Ogden to Fred Peter and Camilla Yori Zampedri. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Zampedri married Anne Veronica Kelly Feb. 26, 1949, in Ogden. She preceded him in death. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Eagles Lodge, Elks, and American Legion, and was an active volunteer at the North Ogden Senior Center. He is survived by his children, Anthony (Jessie) Zampedri, Rudy Zampedri, and Camilla Zampedri, all of Ogden; three grandchildren, Shalisa (Trent) Bingham, Cortney Zampedri, and Ryan Zampedri; one brother, Fred (Norma) Zampedri; sister, Emma Highlander, Albuquerque, N.M.; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Zampedri; and his special companion, Emma Walling. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Catholic Church. Interment was in the Ogden City Cemetery.
