SALT LAKE CITY — Judge Memorial Catholic High School’s Performing Arts Department presents "The Crucible," March 3-5 at 7 p.m. in the Judge Auditorium, 650 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City.

"The Crucible," by acclaimed American playwright and essayist Arthur Miller, received the 1953 Tony Award for Best Play. "The Crucible" is a dramatization of the Salem witch trials that took place in Massachusetts during 1692 and 1693. Miller wrote the play as a response to McCarthyism, when the United States government blacklisted accused communists.

Directed by Darin Hathaway; assistant directors are Lexy Stuivenvolt-Allen, ’10, and Megan McDonald ,‘04. Judge students comprise the technical staff, and will be in charge as stage managers, lighting design, sound design and costume design. The production features a large cast, with 15 principal roles filled by Judge students from freshmen to seniors. Actors include Gracie Brletic, Emily Burchett, Dan Goodman, Nick Graham, Michael Junkins, Ashlyn Lozano, Andrew Maguire, Rima McComas, Connor McCoy, Camille Overmoe, Tyler Peterson, Seth Rockenbach, Amy Ware, Amelia Wright and Campbell Wyasket.
