Utah Knights of Columbus State Deputy Greg Keller and State Deputy Elect Nick Nielson present Bishop Oscar A. Solis with this year’s donations from the fraternal Catholic men’s organization for the bishop’s use and for the Catholic Foundation of Utah. Donations totaling $8,410 were earmarked for the Bishop’s Culture of Life and Vocation Funds. The Catholic Foundation of Utah also received part of those donations for Culture of Life and Scholarship funds. Another $2,045 was presented for the Diocesan Development Drive. The donations were provided to support the bishop and the diocese. After leaving the bishop’s office, the two Knights went to the Carmelite monastery, where they presented a check to the nuns to help offset the financial losses caused by a reduction in the sale of altar breads, due to the pandemic, and the cancellation of the Carmelite Fair.IC photo/Marie Mischel
