OGDEN — Manuel R. Lopez, 75, died Nov. 12. He endured numerous medical problems as the result of an auto-pedestrian accident in November 2005. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Ogden. Lopez was born April 14, 1931, to Maria and Juan Lopez. He attended school in Minatare, Neb. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and always wore his Veteran of Foreign Wars (VFW) hat. He understood hard work and labored in the fields of Nebraska, for the railroad in Utah, and at Hill Air Force Base. He is survived by two sisters, Jessie Soto and Antonia Lopez; two brothers, Inocencio (Margaret) Lopez, and John (Mona) Lopez, Boise, Idaho; nieces and nephews, Jessie and four daughters, Inocencio and two sons and four daughters, John and six sons and two daughters, and Joe’s two daughters; and many extended relatives. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Committal was in the Ogden City Cemetery.
