“On a clear day... How it will astound you, that the glow of your being outshines every star.”

This song was often beautifully sung by our dear mother. She was sure it described Heaven and now she knows it does.

Raised in Norfolk, Neb., she was the wife of 44 years to sportscaster Bill Howard, Sr. Bill was interred at Arlington National Cemetery with our fallen heroes in 1994.

She was mother to three children: Anne Howard, Kathleen Blodgett (Christopher), and Bill Howard, Jr. (Trese). Grandmother to Will Howard and Christie Garrettson (James) and great-grandmother to Nadia Garrettson.

Helen later married Joseph Rockwell. We know she loved us all very much and that is what she takes with her.
