SALT LAKE CITY — Michelle "Ikie" Abbott Martinez, 40, died July 26, of cancer. Martinez was born July 8, 1967, to Stephen C. and Bobbie Abbott in Salt Lake City. She married Victor Martinez Aug. 3, 1984. Throughout her life she loved being outdoors, camping, and boating. She was a member of the St. Patrick Women’s Council, and a volunteer for Religious Education and the youth programs. She was employed at the Nordstrom Distribution Center for 14 years, and with the Scholastic Book Fairs for four years. She is survived by her children, Anthony, Nicole, and Meranda Martinez; husband, Victor; father, Stephen C. Abbott; and brothers, Mark Abbott and Robert Upwall. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Committal was in Memorial Estates Cemetery.
