SALT LAKE CITY — Monsignor J. Terrence Fitzgerald, vicar general emeritus of the Diocese of Salt Lake City, received the Madeleine Medal of Appreciation for Faithful Service during the Feast of Christ the King Mass at Judge Memorial Catholic High School.

In 1931, Judge Memorial was placed under the patronage of Christ the King by Bishop John Mitty.

"For the past 81 years, students have honored Christ the King feast day," said Rick Bartman, principal. "Judge has been deeply blessed by students, faculty, staff, parents, many supporters and alumni. Msgr. Fitzgerald has given his all and continues to remain appreciative and faithful to Judge Memorial. He was a 1954 graduate of Judge Memorial and has gone on to a life of service to his school, community and church that few can match. He has exemplified faithful service over many years."
