Organization of the Year

Holy Cross Ministries was recognized as the 2016 Organization of the Year at the Conexiones Familiares conference, sponsored by the Utah Parent Center. The annual conference reaches out to Spanish-speaking families with children, adolescents and adults who have special needs. In particular, one of Holy Cross Ministry’s education providers (promotoras), Esperanza Arias, was recognized. Arias “has been instrumental in connecting these families with resources that many of them didn’t even know were available,” said Holy Cross Ministries in a statement. “She has been able to assist URLEND (Utah Regional Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) on presenting multiple topics to a group of families that are complex and often otherwise inaccessible. We are so proud of Esperanza and applaud the relationships of trust that she has established with these families and with the medical providers at South Main Clinic.”
