Phyllis M. Knight

SALT LAKE CITY — Phyllis M. Knight, 74, passed away Nov. 16, 2014. 

Knight was born on Nov. 4, 1940 in Hazardville, Conn. to Mary and Nelson Knight. In 1958, she entered the Felician Sisters convent in Enfield, Conn. and, as Sister Mary Pius, taught in parochial schools in Connecticut and New York. After Vatican II, she decided to follow Jesus’ call outside the convent and for 24 years taught at the Institute of Living High School and two years at Chapel Hill High School in North Carolina.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint George Catholic Church.
