Prayers for Forgiveness

In response to the bishop’s call for a day of prayer on Sept. 7 for forgiveness and healing for the sins of priests and bishops in the Church, the Cathedral of the Madeleine set aside time for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Those attending were asked to pray for healing for the victims and their families, for repentance of those who committed these crimes, and for the healing of the Church as a whole.
