Recognizing the Sisters

Eleven religious sisters from across the diocese enjoyed their annual Sisters Council Celebration March 2 at the Diocese of Salt Lake City Pastoral Center. They participated in a Mass celebrated by Bishop Oscar A. Solis. At the Mass, Sister Celine Dounies, CSC, who is celebrating her golden jubilee, renewed her vows. At a dinner following the Mass, the sisters celebrated Sr. Celine’s jubilee along with the 80th birthday of Sister Germaine Sarrazin, DC, and the 75th birthday of Sr. Catherine Kamphaus, CSC. They also honored Sister Marilyn Mark, OSB, who will be departing her ministry in Utah in June.
