Rosemary Merryweather Hamik

Our beloved mother, Rosemary Hamik at age 94 died peacefully on March 16, 2017 in Phoenix, Ariz., with her family by her side.

Rosemary was born in Valley, Neb. to Everett and Anastacia Merryweather. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She leaves us rich in memories. She loved playing pinochle at the senior center and also watching sports, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Utah Jazz. Rosemary was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Jim; and five siblings (Fran, Jack, Ann, Tom and Jean). 

She is survived by her daughters Cherin and Pegg; sons Richard (Sheree) and Jerry (Dorrie); daughter-in-law (Terry); 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A visitation and vigil service was held at Neil O’Donnell & Sons Mortuary on March 31, followed by a committal service at Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
