This past weekend, Saint Therese Catholic Church announced plans for a capital campaign to its members. The effort will be entitled the "Preserving Our Past – Building Our Future" campaign. Its aim is to raise the funds required for the expansion and renovation of its church, the renovation of its parish hall kitchen and the ultimate restoration of the little rock Church. A minimum goal of $425,000 and challenge goal of $750,000 have been set. The campaign will officially commence with a special kick-off celebration scheduled Sunday, September 14, 2008 and will culminate on Commitment Weekend on Saturday and Sunday November 1st and 2nd. Members and select others will be personally visited and invited to support the project before or by then. Walsh & Associates, Church Fundraising and Stewardship Specialists, a Burnsville, Minnesota based fundraising consulting firm, is providing campaign advice and assistance.
