Seferino 'Joe' Heredia

Seferino “Joe” Heredia, 79, passed away on Feb. 21, 2017.

He was born on June 25, 1937 in Nogales, Ariz., son of Seferino and Carlotta Heredia.

He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1956; retired on Jan. 31, 1979.  He also retired from Thiokol.

Joe married Wilma Maes on Oct. 6, 1961 in Utah. She preceded him in death on Nov. 21, 2004. 

He married Florentina Mongaya on Feb. 14, 2006.

Joe enjoyed bingo, horse racing and Wendover trips. He was happy to see his Patriots win the Super Bowl.

He is survived by his wife, Florentina; three children: Oralia (Jose) Cordova, sons Arthur and Joseph; one grandson, Estevan (Ivett) Cordova; one great-granddaughter, Nylea; six sisters and two brothers.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jose “Hoser” Cordova. 

A funeral Mass was held Feb. 25 at St. Henry Catholic Church.

Interment was in the Brigham City Cemetery, where military honors were accorded.
