Sister Josephine Callahan

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Holy Cross Sister Josephine Callahan (Sister Marie Patrice), 89, died Aug. 30, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Ind.

Sr. Marie Patrice was born Aug. 27, 1917, in New York, N.Y. In her apostolic service she was an elementary and high school teacher in schools in Utah, California, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Indiana. She was an elementary teacher from 1941-1944 at St. Joseph School, Ogden. She was a high school teacher at Judge Memorial Catholic High School from 1963-1964. She was a high school teacher at St. Mary of the Wasatch Academy from 1964-1966. From 1973-1975, she taught at St. Joseph Catholic High School, Ogden. Sr. Marie Patrice was also a French professor at Dunbarton College in Washington, D. C.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at the Church of Our Lady of Loretto in Notre Dame, Ind.
