BOUNTIFUL — Holy Cross Sister Genevra Rolf, associate superintendent of Catholic schools, explained 12 Catholic schools applied as one system for a $15,000, grant from Wells Fargo Bank. This includes all of the schools except the Ogden Schools, who apply separately at a branch in Ogden.

The schools include St. Olaf School, J.E. Cosgriff Memorial School, Kearns-Saint Ann School, Our Lady of Lourdes School in Salt Lake City, Saint Francis Xavier Regional School, Saint John the Baptist Elementary and Middle Schools, Saint Vincent de Paul School, and Blessed Sacrament School. Sr. Genevra explained the Madeleine Choir School, Judge Memorial Catholic High School, and Juan Diego Catholic High School had already received a gift from Wells Fargo, so when the Diocese of Salt Lake City applied for the grant, they asked for $15,000, with the understanding these three schools would receive $1,500 each, and the other 9 schools would divide the balance each receiving $1,166.56. The grant was for operating support for each of the schools.

Denise Winslow, vice president, marketing and community relations, said she is proud to partner with the Catholic schools of Utah as we each work toward achieving our shared goals in the community.
