Suk Hyun Nam

CENTERVILLE — Suk Hyun Nam, 59, died Dec. 5, at his home.

Suk Hyun was born April 1, 1948, in Seoul, Korea to Gi-Yung Nam and Kyung Hee Ahn. He was reared and educated in Korea, and graduated from Joong-Ang University of Korea. He moved to Utah in 1994. He owned and operated Ahn’s Auarter Pound Burger in California from 1986-994, then opened Best Burger in Ogden 1994, and in Bountiful in 1998. He served as president of the Korean Catholic Council, was president of KGAU, president of the Korean Society of Utah, and won an award for the U.S. Small Business Administration Big Ideas for Small Businesses. He loved golfing, traveling, gambling and winning big, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Bong Nyo Nam; daughter, Sunhee Nam; brother, Bo Hyun Nam.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
